Alexa skills Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Amazon Alexa skills developed and published by the owner of gbss.info handle personal data. It applies to every skill listed in the Alexa section of this site, unless a specific skill states otherwise.

Data controller

The data controller is the skills' developer, owner of gbss.info, reachable at contact.me [at] gbss.info .

What data the skills process

The skills are designed to collect the bare minimum needed to work. Depending on the skill and the permissions you grant, the following may be processed:

• Your voice requests — what you say to the skill (for example the day or the zone you mention) is processed to give you an answer. The speech-to-text conversion is performed by Amazon Alexa, not by the developer.
• Functional preferences — some skills store a small setting needed to operate (for example your chosen collection zone). It is kept in a database keyed to your anonymous skill user ID, not to your name.
• Permissions you grant — some features require explicit consent, such as creating reminders or accessing your device address / postcode. These are used solely for the requested feature and only after your authorisation, which you can revoke at any time from the Alexa app.

The skills do not ask for or store your name, email, phone number, payment details or audio recordings.

User identifier

Amazon provides the skill with an anonymous user identifier. The developer cannot use the skill to trace your real identity, your Amazon account or your contacts.

Amazon's role

The skills run on the Amazon Alexa platform. Voice processing and device interaction are also governed by Amazon's Privacy Notice, outside the developer's control.

Purpose and legal basis

Data is processed solely to deliver the skill features you asked for. The legal basis is the performance of the requested service and, for optional permissions (reminders, location), your consent (Art. 6(1)(b) and (a), GDPR).

Retention and deletion

Saved preferences are kept for as long as you use the skill. If you disable the skill from the Alexa app its data is no longer used; you may also request deletion by writing to contact.me [at] gbss.info . Reminders created by a skill stay in your Alexa app until you delete them or revoke the permission.

No sale, no profiling

Data is never sold or shared with third parties, is not used for advertising or profiling, and does not feed automated decisions with legal effects.

Children

The skills are not directed to children and do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing. To exercise them, write to contact.me [at] gbss.info . You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

This policy may be updated. The version published here, with the date shown below, is the one in force.
